VIDEO: Everton’s woes continue, Mirallas misses PK before HT

Everton has been struggling. What was once the sleeper pick for Champions League and one of the best “second tier” EPL teams after the big names, has fallen to 12th place and hasn’t won a game since a 3-1 win against QPR on December 15. Roberto Martinez said a couple days ago that Everton’s “priority is winning games.”

The priority may be winning games, but this sure doesn’t help things. After a West Brom handball, Everton had a chance to take the lead against a tough to score against Tony Pulis West Brom team. For some reason, Kevin Mirallas took the PK instead of regular PK taker Leighton Baines and the result spoke for itself.

Everton has invited Everton fan Sylvester Stallone to do the halftime speech today. He needs to give a Rocky-esque performance to get Everton to turn around this funk.

At the start of the 2nd half, Mirallas got subbed out. It’s unknown if the missed PK played a part in that decision.
