VIDEO: Arsenal’s David Ospina scores an own goal by catching and dropping the ball in his goal

There are own goals and then there are those own goals where you think how on earth could anyone possibly allow that to happen? This own goal by Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina qualifies as one for the latter.

For some strange reason, instead of punching the ball out off of this Olympiakos corner, Ospina decides to catch the ball and drop it right in front of him as his momentum was carrying him into the goal. The consequence was that it was an easy own goal to concede and give Olympiakos the 2-1 lead at halftime. Considering Arsenal lost to Dinamo Zagreb, they really can’t afford to lose this game and expect to advance to the knockout stage of the Champions League.
