VIDEO: Christian Ericksen’s double sends Spurs on their way to Wembley

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino made a promise we he was hired. It was simple — that Spurs would play for and win a cup in his first season as a manager. With Spurs up 1-0 heading in to the second leg of the Capital One Cup at Sheffield United, he looked prophetic.

His rising star in the midfield, Christian Ericksen, made it all possible in the second leg. Ericksen put Spurs up 1-0 in the second leg with a beauty of a free kick (and a ridiculous “wall” by the Blades).

Ericksen wasn’t done though, because he not only scored the opener…he managed to net the game and tie winner in the dying moments of the match.
