VIDEO: Hoffenheim scores fastest goal in Bundesliga history against Bayern Munich

Eight seconds, that’s how long it took for Kevin Volland and Hoffenheim to score against the German giants Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga today. It is the fastest goal scored in Bundesliga history.

Or so it would seem. The referee officially scored the goal at nine seconds which would only tie the record. Check it out for yourself. I took it to a stopwatch and got 8.54 seconds so it’s pretty close.

Either way, Hoffenheim is going to take this. It’s not every day when you can make Bayern Munich look bad and when they’ll have 90 minutes to likely get that goal back (and then some), it would have been fun while it lasted. They look like they’re having so much fun, even the moose mascot is joining in on the celebration.
