Video: Sergio Aguero scores five goals but de Bruyne upstages him

After scoring just three goals during the entire month of September, Manchester City’s October looked like it would start out just like September ended. After shockingly falling behind 1-0 at home to Newcastle, City spent much of the first 40 minutes goalless.

Then Sergio Aguero happened. The Argentinian striker tied the game just before half time. In the second half, the striker picked up right where he left off scoring twice to complete a hat-trick in the first five minutes. However even three goals wasn’t enough, as Aguero had his eyes set on equalizing Robert Lewandowski’s five goal feat from just over a week ago.

Not to be upstaged by his teammate, new signing Kevin de Bruyne got in on the action with his own Goal of the Season candidate.

Aguero’s five goals ties a Premier League record for most goals in a game. He wouldn’t get a chance to score a sixth as he was subbed off with just under 24 minutes left.

After a slow start Manchester City came roaring back to humiliate Newcastle and move back to the top of the Premier League table.
