VIDEO: Sergio Ramos Hits Midfield Camera

Why couldn’t this match be in 3D? In today’s Eibar/Real Madrid game, Sergio Ramos cleared the ball that inadvertently hit the midfield camera perched up near the top of the stadium. I can’t say he planned to do that because if he did, just like with some of his PK’s, he wouldn’t have gotten close to hitting the target.

The camera remains operational but I’m curious to see what would’ve happened if the camera stopped working after the hit. That camera is responsible for about 95% of what you see on TV so the game would’ve looked quite different if they were forced to go to an endline camera or a field level camera for the rest of the game. That would’ve been quite interesting to see.
