during the Barclays Premier League match between Burnley and Leicester City at Turf Moor on April 25, 2015 in Burnley, England.

VIDEO: The craziest two minutes in the EPL relegation race so far

Burnley and Leicester City faced off in a game likely to be the climax of the relegation race. Whoever won this game wouldn’t be guaranteed a safe spot in the EPL but they would have a stronger foundation to stay. The loser wouldn’t be guaranteed relegation either but they would be all but going down.

This shows the beauty and cruelty of the relegation race (depending on who you support). Burnley wins a PK and Matthew Taylor took the penalty wanting to be the hero to save his team. He bounced the penalty off the post and couldn’t believe it. Turf Moor went from ecstasy to agony and that agony got even worse.

Just a minute after the PK, Leicester City marched down the field and Jamie Vardy got the winning goal to twist the knife amongst everyone at Turf Moor. Leicester City with their 1-0 win and 4th straight win claw from last to being a point in the safe zone in 17th. Burnley on the other hand, they go to last and are five points back with four games left. We’re likely to see Burnley back in the Championship unless their fortunes change like Leicester City.
