VIDEO: Cesc Fabregas Gets Stupid Red Card For Kicking Ball

Today’s game between West Brom and Chelsea has no relevance to Premier League standings, but that doesn’t mean the game would be boring. During the first half, West Brom defenders and Diego Costa got into a brief tussle. Referee Mike Jones showed Costa a yellow card, but players kept discussing and bickering. Suddenly, this happens:

Boom, red card. And a deserved one at that. This will, without a doubt, go down as one of the dumbest and funniest moments of the EPL season. What was Cesc Fabregas thinking? At least his idiocy diffused what could have been a bad situation between Costa and the West Brom defense… but it’s important to recall that — if we still listen to Sir Alex Ferguson — Fabregas could have killed a man with that kicked ball.
