Erving has been making plenty of media rounds as NBATV's acclaimed documentary The Doctor premiered Monday night. It has gotten rave reviews from the NBA community. It is airing again on NBATV on Wednesday night at 9 p.m. if you missed it Monday. The documentary tells the story of one of the most definitive, revolutionary and influential players in basketball history.

No doubt, Erving had a style about him from the flashy dunks to the huge afro and was a driving force in making the game what it is today. He won the original ABA Slam Dunk Contest after all and was the boyhood idol to a whole generation of players — Michael Jordan certainly coudl be included in that group.
