We figured it was downright impossible not to do a show without at least discussing the Cam Newton situation.
Is Auburn doing the right thing by continuing to play him? We’re not sure, but we do know a lot of other programs would have benched him until this was cleared up. But hey, it’s SEC football. Rules are flexible.
One thing we are also reminded of each week is that Auburn doesn’t play much defense. The Tigers gave up 31 points to a bad Georgia team.
Let’s not forget to mention that both Ohio State and WVU won on the same weekend, so your hosts were unusually chipper this week. That was until Phil started talking about TCU and Boise. He gets pissed when you talk about the non-AQs.
His spirits peaked again when we talk about Ohio State traveling to Iowa (and the fact he gets to sit on his couch all Saturday).
This may shock a few of you, but we even talk MAC football and the big showdown tonight between Ohio and Temple.
