Dwyane Wade signs with Chicago Bulls

Nevermind the two-year, $50 million deal he left on the table to remain with the Heat, veteran shooting guard Dwyane Wade is taking his talents to Chicago to play for the Bulls.

It’ll take a bit of creativity to pull the move off, but the Bulls are doing what they need to do to clear enough cap room to sign the 34-year-old guard.

Wade will join 30-year-old point guard Rajon Rondo in the backcourt, and that raises some serious concerns on the defensive end. Regardless, Rondo seems excited to be paired with Wade.

Judging by their recent moves since the free-agent market opened, the Bulls are clearly in “win now” mode. But they shouldn’t count on their backcourt duo to knock down many three-pointers.

The Heat’s roster is looking quite barren right now. They cleared plenty of cap room, but the majority of the quality free agents have already been offered deals. And the Bulls, well, they’re quite old.
