The Kevin Durant sweepstakes attracted a lot of teams, as a player of his caliber doesn’t hit the free-agent market all that often.
Durant drew interest from roughly one-third of the league’s teams, but chose to meet with only four. From the beginning, reading the tea leaves suggested that he’d narrow them down to Thunder, Warriors and Spurs, as he wants to win a championship, and soon. Sure enough, he’s reportedly deciding between two teams, and the announcement will come on Monday, July 4.
From what I understand, it's Thunder versus Warriors for Durant.

The funny thing is that these two teams recently battled it out in the Western Conference Finals and treated fans to one of the best series in recent years.

Durant has spent the entirety of his career with the Thunder, and now could be the start of something new. The allure of the Bay Area, to play alongside Steph Curry and Klay Thompson, with venture capitalists helping improve his game from the analytics side, could be too much to pass on.
It won’t be long until we hear Durant’s decision. I think he’ll end up signing with the team that came back from a 3-1 deficit and knocked him out of the playoffs last season. And we’re probably looking at a two-year deal, with an option to opt out after one. Superstars like options.
