Report: Pacers land Jeff Teague in three-team deal

The Indiana Pacers acquired point guard Jeff Teague from the Atlanta Hawks in a three-team deal Wednesday that will send the 12th overall pick in Thursday’s draft to the Hawks and George Hill to the Utah Jazz, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.

Teague, 28, has one year left on his current deal. The Pacers plan to work on signing Teague to a contract extension. Teague averaged 15.7 points and 5.9 assists last season. He claims to have played all of 2015-16 with a torn patellar tendon.

Hill, 30, averaged 12.1 points, 3.5 assists and 4.0 rebounds as Indiana’s starting point guard last season. He is owed $8 million next season, the final year of his contract.

Atlanta has two first-round picks after Wednesday’s trade: No. 12 and No. 21. The Hawks have two picks in the second round, too.
