Steven Adams: ‘We can beat them with or without’ Draymond Green

Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams is confident his team can beat the Golden State Warriors with or without All-Star forward Draymond Green.

According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, ‘an official decision from the league office on Green’s status for Game 4 is expected by day’s end Monday.” Green was issued a flagrant 1 foul in Game 3 Sunday after he kicked Adams in the groin, the second time in the series Green has hit Adams there. If the NBA wanted to, it could suspend Green for Game 4.

Adams, who said the replay looked even more intentional than he thought, told reporters Monday he thinks the Thunder can beat Golden State with or without Green.

Adams was asked if it would mean anything for Green to apologize.

“No,” Adams said. “Wouldn’t matter.”

Adams also said he will consider wearing some protective gear “due to the consistency of the hits.” Adams was kneed in the groin by Green in Game 2, though it looked unintentional.
