Thunder reportedly shopping Serge Ibaka

The Oklahoma City Thunder have made power forward Serge Ibaka available for trade ahead of Thursday’s draft, reports Marc Spears of ESPN.

Ibaka, 26, is set to become a free agent after next season. He averaged 12.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.9 blocks during the regular season for Oklahoma City and had similar numbers during the Thunder’s postseason run.

Although he’s been a major piece of the Thunder’s success the past few years, Ibaka has become expendable with the emergence of Steven Adams last season. And if the Thunder do manage to re-sign Kevin Durant this offseason, he might be a better fit playing at the power forward position than Ibaka.

It will be interesting to see if there any takers for a big man who can shoot and block shots. Ibaka is still fairly young and he’s been pretty consistent over the years.
