Ring of Honor 4/24 Episode Musings

If you are looking for a hold by hold re-cap, this isn’t it. Here’s how it works, I watch wrestling and record my thoughts, good or bad. I might not even get to who won the match or how. For last weeks musings, go here.

Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian open the show with a promo. They talk about their failures against the tag-team champions reDRagon and how they will go about it differently tonight in the Main Event.

Four Corners Survival: BJ Whitmer w/Adam Page vs Will Ferrara vs Caprice Coleman vs Moose w/Veda Scott & Stokely Hathaway

Moose is impressive but definitely still needs a lot of seasoning. I’ve always been a fan of Caprice Coleman and he showed off some nice moves in this one. Whitmer played the role of ring general and picked up the win after a blind tag of Moose, who then went on to spear Coleman. Whitmer knocked Moose out of the ring and took the win.

Post-match Whitmer cuts a promo on Moose setting up a future match.

We come back from commercial and Whitmer and Page are still in the ring with Page cutting a promo on ACH. ACH comes out and clears the ring and cuts his own promo.

ACH vs Adam Page w/BJ Whitmer

During ACH’s promo, Whitmer throws Page into the ring and all the sudden we have a match. Page went over in a short match after a distraction from Whitmer. Post-match Whitmer and Page beat down ACH until Matt Sydal came out for the save.

During the commercial break they had a pretty great commerical for the upcoming New Japan/ROH series.

Michael Elgin cuts a back stage promo on War Machine and says he’s bringing in Killer Elite Squad to take them out next week.

Main Event- Tag-Team Title Match: reDRagon (c) vs The Addiction

Just good solid tag-team wrestling to start this match with both teams showing off good double-team maneuvers. At the end of the match, Bobby Fish hurt himself on a dive to the outside and one of the masked men from the Knights of the Rising Dawn came in and super-kicked Kyle O’Reilly. The Addiction then finished off O’Reilly to win the belts. Really good match.

Post-match Bobby Fish throws the masked man back in the ring and he’s unmasked as Chris Sabin. The Addiction then attacks reDRagon and Daniels, Kazarian and Sabin celebrate in the ring.
