The good news: Jamie McBain scored a goal in his team's 4-1 defeat against Winnipeg. The bad news: Jamie McBain's goal went into his own net.

As McBain desperately tried to clear the puck from the front of his net, he swung at the puck, missed it, and knocked the puck into his own net when he brought his stick back to the ice. It's safe to say that Evander Kane, the player that was credited with the goal, might not ever score an easier goal in his NHL career.

There are accidents in hockey and then there are great, big blunders like this one. It's safe to say McBain was either trying to knock the puck into the corner or right his stick so he could wrist the puck out of the zone, but the end result was a shot on his own net that caught goaltender Justin Peters by surprise.

Have you ever seen someone try to shoot a puck that's never picked up a hockey stick before? Most times you'll see them whiff when trying to strike the puck, only to bring the stick back and accidentally hit it in the opposite direction. That's what McBain looked like on his attempted clearance that ended up lighting the lamp.
