Video: Duncan Keith slashes Jeff Carter in the face

The Chicago-LA series is starting to get nasty. Jeff Carter chopped at Duncan Keith's bare hand as the Chicago defenseman reached for his mitt. Keith was unhappy with Carter and swung his stick at the LA forward's face, catching him in the chin and neck.

Both men are guilty of dirty play, but Keith's retaliation is brutal. Carter shouldn't have tried to hit Keith in his hand, but Keith should know not to swing his stick at an opponent's head. Keith received a four-minute penalty on the play, but later apologized to Carter for his actions according to the broadcast.

UPDATE: Keith has been suspended for one game
