Tickets to see the Colorado Avalanche are ridiculously cheap

The Colorado Avalanche would love to officially close the book on the 2013 season. With just a handful of games left to play, the Avalanche are in a close battle with the Calgary Flames for the 14th spot in the Western Conference. The Avs have been mathematically eliminated from playoff contention, but were realistically eliminated quite some time ago.

What does this mean for Avs fans, aside from enormous amounts of anger and frustration? Ridiculously cheap tickets.

According to an article in the Denver Post, tickets are going cheap for the last couple Avalanche games. Cheap may be a bit of an understatement. The article mentioned that the author, Adrian Dater, and his son were able to secure lower bowl tickets against the Columbus Blue Jackets for $13. That low price of $13 is for two tickets AND the "convenience" fees. Dater mentioned that other tickets for the Avs-Blue Jackets tilt were going for as low as $1 on StubHub. Incredible.

Looking ahead, the Avs have home games against Edmonton (April 19), St. Louis (April 21) and Minnesota (April 27). As of the time this article goes live, you can find tickets for as low as $5, $6 and $8 for those respected contests, plus any additional fees.

The product on the ice might be lacking (that's being kind), but you can still enjoy NHL hockey for an extremely cheap price before the sport takes the summer off. That's a deal that's tough to beat.
