What was that moaning sound during Game 1 between Chicago and Detroit?

If you watched Game 1 between the Chicago Blackhawks and the Detroit Red Wings, you might have caught a rather strange noise that was broadcasted during the second period. As the network prepared to head to a commercial break, there was a loud moaning/grunting sound following Doc Emrick's comments.

What was it? No one knows, but there are plenty of fun theories and most involve Pierre McGuire. Realistically, it was probably one of the broadcasters trying to clear his throat, but the timing and sound of the noise still have us wondering what was really going on in that broadcast booth.

Incredibly, this odd sound occurred on the same day as the "Who farted on First Take?" discussion. Can we blame that one on Pierre too?
