Brayden Schenn has his stomach cut by a skate, still scores game winner

We all know how tough hockey players are. Hell, Gregory Campbell broke his leg from blocking a shot during a penalty kill in the playoffs. This story adds another notch to the belt of hockey toughness lore.

Schenn was skating up to New Jersey's Dainius Zubrus to make a body check during the Flyers-Devils game on Tuesday night. As Zubrus fell back, his skate came up and sliced Schenn in the stomach, dropping him instantly.

That’s scary stuff. It looks like a surface cut but it could’ve been much, much worse.

So how does Schenn react? He scores the game-winning goal in overtime to lift the Flyers past the Devils by a score of 3-2 and giving Philadelphia sole possession of second place in the Metropolitan Division.

That, my friends, is tough.
