Florida Panthers’ latest ticket promotion scratches the surface of awful

Look, I get it. The Panthers are having issues drawing fans to games that aren't played against the Penguins, Canadiens, or Maple Leafs. Ticket promotions can be extremely useful, and normally they take the form of discounts, or free tickets for donated charity items. You know, useful things that either help the team or help the community.

The Panthers' latest promotion? Bring in ten bucks of used, losing Florida Lottery scratch off tickets, and you get a free seat. Sometimes teams give away lottery tickets during in-game promotions or games or things like that. Florida? Nope. Bring $10 worth of useless paper that the team will probably throw away to the box office and you can get a free ticket in the upper deck (and then walk to the lower).

The Florida Panthers: Giving you tickets for trash since 2013.
