Report: NHL is targeting Gillette Stadium for outdoor game between Bruins and Canadiens

The NHL loves outdoor games. Considering the success of the Winter Classic since its inception and the immense popularity of the Stadium Series, why wouldn't they? When it comes to successes, the NHL has one philosophy: more.

The league is reportedly wasting little time in scouting future locations for outdoor games. Chris Botta mentions that the NHL is tentatively planning an outdoor game in Gillette Stadium in Foxboro. The game would pit the Boston Bruins against the Montreal Canadiens in a venue which is normally home to the New England Patriots.

The details are far from finalized, but it's a pretty logical report.
