Video: AHL goalie knocks the net over to prevent a 2-on-0 chance

Here’s a new defensive tactic for you. AHL goaltender David Leggio of the Bridgeport Sound Tigers got creative when he realized he was facing down a 2-on-0 rush. Instead of letting the opposition walk in alone on goal, Leggio turned around and knocked the net off of its moorings.

Usually this type of play results in a penalty on the goaltender, but the officials awarded a penalty shot instead. The penalty shot attempt went wide and Leggio ended up looking pretty brilliant.
