Video: Rangers score two goals in four seconds

The New York Rangers set a new franchise record for scoring two goals in four seconds without an empty net in their 4-0 win over the San Jose Sharks.

First, Martin St. Louis scored at 19:16 in the second period.

Next, Rick Nash scored just four seconds after the puck was dropped following the St. Louis goal. Nash made it look easy as he slips through the defense and pokes a loose puck into the net.

You definitely don’t see that very often. Nash essentially walked in directly on net from the draw and San Jose goaltender Alex Stalock more or less left the net open. It’s going to take something remarkably for the Rangers to break their new two goals (non-empty net) in four seconds record.
