Blackhawks make a dream come true for a young blind fan

As violent and physical as the game of hockey might be, many times the sport provides fans with some truly uplifting and memorable stories. The most recent involves the Chicago Blackhawks, Patrick Sharp and 16-year-old Christina DeVries. Not long ago, the Blackhawks ran an ad campaign which asked fans “What’s Your Goal?” and Christina responded that she simply wanted to attend a Blackhawks game for the very first time. Though Christina does not have her sight, that hasn’t limited her passion for the Blackhawks and she wanted nothing more than to experience a game at the United Center.

Via Puck Daddy, The Blackhawks and Sharp made that happen.

Let the video above be a reminder of how special the game of hockey really is. The next time you go to a game, take in all of the sights and sounds and never take them for granted.
