Gross: Michael Del Zotto posts photo of gruesome neck injury

Regardless of what you did on New Year’s Eve, it’s safe to say your day was better than the one enjoyed by Michael Del Zotto. The Flyers defenseman was cut by a skate blade during his team’s game against the Colorado Avalanche. Del Zotto was forced to go to the dressing room, but later returned sporting a nice row of stitches.

If you were curious what the wound looked like, Del Zotto provided a nice before and after look at his brutal injury.

Be warned – It’s pretty graphic.

Last chance. Turn back if you’re squeamish.

What a way to finish 2014!
