Mike Green’s future with the Washington Capitals is a mystery. The debate over whether the Capitals should deal him prior to the trade deadline or retain him for the remainder of the year and potentially let him walk over the summer has likely been a big source of frustration for the defenseman.
Green took all of those frustrations out on Kyle Clifford and checked him into the Washington bench. The check won’t answer all of the speculation surrounding Green, but we’re betting it felt pretty good.
