Jakub Voracek will donate $1,000 for every point he scores

If you’re not rooting for Jakub Voracek this season, you will be after reading this story. The Philadelphia Flyers forward is planning to donate $1,000 for every point he records in 2015-16. The donations will go towards helping those with multiple sclerosis – a disease which impacts Voracek’s sister.

In 2014-15, Voracek tallied a total of 81 points which would equate to a $81,000 donation. We’ll have to wait and see how he performs this year, but it’s likely a hefty donation is coming.

This is an incredible story. Regardless of which team you root for or how you feel about Voracek, you can’t help but cheer him on as he donates to an extremely worthy cause.
