Sean Bergenheim breaks Nathan MacKinnon’s nose

Nathan MacKinnon’s 2014-15 is the perfect example of a sophomore slump. In his second year in the NHL, MacKinnon is poised to fall well short of matching his offensive numbers from his rookie seasons. To make matters worse, MacKinnon was on the receiving end of a brutal check from Sean Bergenheim which left MacKinnon with a broken nose.

There was no penalty on the play. As you might imagine, the Avs were ticked and used the final minute of the game to take their frustrations out on the Wild.
