Video: Gustav Nyquist’s amazing individual effort wins it for Detroit

If you’ve ever watched hockey at a youth level you’ve probably seen that one kid who is way better than all of the rest hogging the puck and skating circles around the opponent. On Saturday night, Gustav Nyquist was that kid and the opponent was the Ottawa Senators.

Watch as Nyquist receives the puck at the 1:17 mark of OT. He doesn’t let go of it until he scores the winner at 47.6.
