Video: Jake Virtanen scores goal with face, returns with stitches

When you think of hockey, you think of rough and tumble players, you think of fighting and you think of the toughness they exhibit. So, it really shouldn’t come as a surprise when they do something that risks life and limb.

In typical hockey player fashion, Virtanen returned to the game with stitches on his face. He has already shown this preseason that he is a tough customer not backing down from Connor McDavid and taking a run at him. The longer he sticks in Canucks camp the more likely he is to make it out of camp, an unlikely thought at first but he is showing his worth in spades.
