Video: Max Lapierre fakes being hit to draw a penalty

Max Lapierre went to some extreme lengths to draw a penalty in Game 4 against the Rangers. As Lapierre skated to the bench, he bumped into John Moore. Though there was no contact to Lapierre’s head or face, that didn’t prevent the Penguins forward from dropping his stick and clutching his face to draw a penalty.

The NHL has tried to cut down on the diving and embellishing this season by handing out fines and publicly shaming the guilty parties, but it’s clear that hasn’t curtailed players like Lapierre from some serious acting.

Lapierre’s embellishment didn’t factor in the result as the Rangers won 2-1.
