First NHL All-Star Game in three years sees ticket prices rising

The NHL All Star game is going to be extra fun this season. It has been three long years since there has been a game between hockey’s best players. The fans should be eagerly awaiting this event, which normally comes annually in most sports, but has taken a hiatus due to extenuating circumstances. Of course, there was no game last year thanks to the Olympic break, and the year before was eliminated thanks to the Lockout.

This season’s All Star game is being held in Columbus, OH in the Nationwide Arena. This is home of the Columbus Blue Jackets. Nick Foligno, Sergei Bobrovsky and Ryan Johansen will represent the team. The arena will be 100 percent behind the hometown stars.

The biggest stars in hockey are going to be on each roster. The fans don’t know who is on which team until the All Star Draft on Friday, January 23rd. That should be a fun event coming before the actual game on Sunday.

This game could feature Sidney Crosby taking a faceoff against Evgeni Malkin. It could even see Crosby playing on a line with his rival Alex Ovechkin. We could see Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane trying to score on Corey Crawford. There are so many matchups that we don’t get to see on normal occasions, that will happen on Sunday night. You also get to see Sabres forward Zemgus Girgensons play, which may be the biggest surprise of the night.

Being the first All Star game in three years, the tickets are going to be steep. The average price of NHL All-Star Game tickets on ScoreBig.com is going for an astonishing $314.52. People from all around the US and Canada are coming to see their favorite players represent their teams. Just to get in the door to see your favorite All Stars will cost fans $127.00. It should be a really fun game to watch, especially for those who see it live, which is generally what makes all NHL tickets worthwhile.
