TQBR Radio 10/21: Gennady Golovkin Vs. Marco Antonio Rubio Recap

31-0 (28 KO). A few belts. A fondness of meat. All are things Gennady Golovkin owns. This past weekend, he added a tennis court in Carson, Ca. — and all of its spectators — to his back pocket.

There’s not much wrong with that, either. In fact, if asked nicely, many of us would happily snuggle into said back pocket and just…be, for a while. It’s a testament to how likable, inside the ring and out, Golovkin has become. He bowls opponents over with calculated aggression, and dares you to not become a fan of his with a jovial, eccentric personality. It’s hyperbole, sure, but also true.

This week on Queensberry Rules Radio, James Foley of Bad Left Hook and TQBR’s Patrick Connor will probably shame the above praise with their own over-the-top stuff, but there are also matters like Nicholas Walters’ thorough slaying of Nonito Donaire (plus other things) to discuss.
