TQBR Radio 11/25: Manny Pacquiao Vs. Chris Algieri Recap

Really, what that title probably should read up there is “Terence Crawford vs. Ray Beltran Preview,” but it’s Manny Pacquiao, and we got mouths to feed. Besides, if we’re going to be made to shell out a few baker’s dozen clams to watch mismatches, we may as well revel in the horrifyingly one-sided slapping that Chris Algieri took for an extra few days.

It’s not that there weren’t good, honest, fun things happening in boxing this past weekend, it’s just that they came at lower levels than we deserve, and still at a price.

This week on Queensberry Rules Radio, James Foley of Bad Left Hook and TQBR’s Patrick Connor open shop on finger-waggling and continue their free “How to Be a Boxing Fan” course. From Pacquiao-Algieri and its undercard (featuring Zou Shiming, Vasyl Lomachenko and Jessie Vargas), to international business with the Tony Bellew vs. Nathan Cleverly II card, from sea to shining sea.
