Manny And Floyd Episode Four: Scripture Class

The fourth episode of Manny and Floyd, the podcast all about Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather, is out. Download it, get it on iTunes or your podcasting app, or just listen to it right here:

Apart from all the week’s news about drug testing, Floyd’s lumberjack turn and Mexico’s love for the fight, this episode is about one of those things you should never discuss in polite company: Religion.

Manny Pacquiao hasn’t got as many knockouts since he became a born again Christian. His trainer Freddie Roach thinks he needs to put more faith in his power and less in his higher power, and to that end wants to find some biblical scholar who advocate violence.

Look no further, Freddie! We’ve got the Guardian’s Adam Brereton on, and he’s got some verses to recommend to you.

We’ve also got the Classical‘s Tom Keiser on to talk about the parallels between boxing and wrestling, and who’s the face and who’s the heel in this fight (no prizes for guessing).

Final note: Yes, I said Manny has a big right hand in episode two. His right hand isn’t too shabby, but obviously I meant he has a big left. He is a southpaw and I am a dumbass who says stupid things.
