Who’s God Rooting For In Mayweather Vs Pacquiao?

This is hilarious, because it’s ridiculous. We know whose side the earthly celebrities are on with Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao on May 2 — thanks, video feature! But Mayweather vs Pacquiao is big enough that, somehow, God’s allegiance is under discussion.

Mayweather says he doesn’t think God picks sides:

“God loves us all. I’m a fighter. What I do, I’m a professional prizefighter. I believe in God, I love God. I don’t think God takes sides,” explains Mayweather… “Everybody has an opinion, regardless of the situation. My thing is this; I feel like we’re all God’s children. Whether you’re American, Filipino, African, Dominican, Asian, we’re all God’s children.”

Except, hold on, Floyd. God is on Twitter, and he had this to say:

That said, last we checked, Pacquiao trainer Freddie Roach was searching for biblical scholars who would authorize Christian violence, since Pacquiao is so religious. So even if God is on Manny’s side, he might still need God to tell him it’s OK to beat up Mayweather. Given that, and the odds, Pacquiao needs God more than Mayweather.

This might be the single most absurd post that has ever appeared on TQBR, which is saying something.
