Years ago, a friend (who I won’t name named Dave) told me he was getting divorced. Being the pragmatic one I drilled him on the nuts and bolts of how to go about it. On the topic of who was moving out, he told me that they were going to live together until he found a place.
“Done,” I said. “My couch is yours. Sleep there until you find a place.”
“Well……” he said, and immediately I recognized his pussy voice.
What he meant was that he and his (ex) wife would end up living together – while divorcing – for another three months.
It was stupid. And everyday I told him that. And by “everyday” I mean hourly. I was that guy. But I was right. Move on, my man, it’s already been decided.
