Up until this year players had a better ability to test the waters in the NBA draft. They had several weeks following the end of the season in which to evaluate and be evaluated, and then make an informed decision on whether or not to jump ship. They could go into NBA facilities and have their games broken down by NBA teams.
Now the deadline (for pulling out of the draft) is today. Players can still enter the draft until April 29th. They just can’t pull out if they do.
So at this point, anyone who hasn’t withdrawn their name is committed. Here’s my list so far. Following the list is an infographic focusing on which conferences are losing the most. Click on things.
