Lawyers address game fixing charges vs Varez Ward

Earlier today, Varez Ward pleaded not guilty to charges that he conspired to fix a game his team ended up losing to Arkansas in 2012. The trial date has been set for July 22nd.

In that game Ward came off the bench with Auburn up 4-0. He turned the ball over on his only possession before crumpling to the floor with an apparent leg injury.

Ward, a transfer from Texas, averaged 9.0 points, 3.8 assists, and 3.1 rebounds in his only season at Auburn.

After entering his plea, his lawyers address the media.
