Stars Olympic Update

It's just a couple of days now until the start of Men's Hockey during the Olympics, and there have some updates for some Stars players and their roles in these games.

I previously thought that Jamie Benn would be rolling on a line with a couple of Ducks, Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf, but that looks to have changed today. As noted by Mark Stepneski, Benn has been skating with John Tavares and Patrice Bergeron.

Tavares is an offensive dynamo, Bergeron is one of, if not the best, defensive forwards in the NHL and Benn is a solid combination of both. If these three stick together, this line should be the one getting the most defensive zone face-offs.

On the Russian side, it looks like Val is getting the short end of the stick and might be riding the bench in his team's first game on Thursday. The kid should still get an opportunity later in the tournament, but this is a bit disappointing.

Meanwhile, Finland hasn't officially made an announcement on their starting goaltender. Tuukka Rask has been getting the majority of reps and is the best of the three goalies on the team, so he should be the expected starter.
