Johnny Manziel breaks Twitter silence

It’s been more than six weeks since Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel last posted a tweet.

The 22nd overall pick in last year’s draft has been quiet on social media, and hasn’t tweeted anything since Jan. 2, when he responded to allegations that he was spotted in Las Vegas just before the team’s Week 17 matchup against the Steelers by posting a photo of him and his dog hanging out.

Manziel made his triumphant return to Twitter on Tuesday. Unfortunately, he didn’t say anything. He did, however, retweet an uplifting message Charlie Sheen wrote about him a few weeks ago.

Manziel is clearly trying to send a message that he’s focused on football and ready for a fresh start with the team reportedly set to release him in March when the new league year begins.

Whether or not Manziel will follow Sheen’s plan for a fresh start remains to be seen. Stay tuned.
