The Rams are back in Los Angeles next season, possibly with a new quarterback.
Nick Foles, who the team acquired in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles last spring, lost the starting quarterback job to Case Keenum about halfway through the 2015 season. And when Keenum had to sit because of a concussion, Foles was beyond terrible over a two-game stretch, throwing four interceptions and no touchdowns. Needless to say, the Rams will be looking to address the quarterback position either in free agency or the draft.
But what about Foles and the two-year extension he signed prior to last season?
The Rams could look to trade Foles. And if they do, there’s at least three teams interested in the 27-year-old quarterback, this according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport:

All three of those teams are set with a starter, but Foles could land a backup gig no problem. Veteran Matt Moore is an unrestricted free agent, meaning Ryan Tannehill will need a backup unless the Dolphins bring back Moore. Seems like Tony Romo gets injured just about every season, so you know the Cowboys are in. Kirk Cousins got the franchise tag in Washington, but Robert Griffin III is likely to get the boot, so there’s room for another quarterback there.
The Rams could keep Foles to mentor a rookie should they draft one, or maybe he could be the backup in Los Angeles. But if teams are interested and willing to deal, the Rams might want to pull the trigger.
However, if a rookie is drafted in, Foles can only do so much. He’ll need to increase his muscular size and strength to compete on the main stage and that starts with intense workouts in the gym, proper nutrition and looking at protein powder reviews. This will ensure his progress is fast tracked.
