Dugout Digest – calm before the storm

If you want to get technical, here in the northeast, it's the calm *after* the storm. Hurricane Sandy has blown through, and while it's still raining, it's nowhere near hurricane quality rain. But that's not the storm I was referring to: I was instead talking about the storm of free agency, which will begin on Saturday at midnight. Gulp.

But anyway, because of the impending huricane yesterday, I didn't get any World Series stuff done..sorry about that, and it'll be on tap today. Instead, go ahead and enjoy Free Agent Previews for the White Sox, Pirates, Dodgers, and Brewers, and take solace that three more of those (Angels, Rays, Braves) will be going live today.

Around the league, a bunch of club options were picked up by teams…but nothing overly interesting or surprising.

Enjoy your offseason, everyone.
