Dugout Digest – the beginning

Free agency began 33 and a half hours ago, and where are we? Well, none of the major free agents have signed with new teams. The biggest name to sign with a new team on the first day of free agency was Kevin Kouzmanoff, who inked a minor league pact with the Marlins. Bartolo Colon also re-upped with the A's for one year.

In non-signing news, the Blue Jays dealt newly acquired shortstop Mike Aviles to the Indians for Esmil Rogers, Mariano Rivera stated his desire to come back for the 2013 season (potentially killing a Rafael Soriano return to the Yankees), and the Astros officially unveiled their new logo and uniforms.

Enjoy your offseason, everyone.
