Let me quickly set the scene here. There's one out in the eighth inning, with the Padres and Giants tied at two. Chase Headley is on first base after singling. Carlos Quentin hits a bomb to deep left center field, and Giants center fielder Angel Pagan makes an amazing, tumbling, diving catch. Pagan fires an off-balance throw into the infield to the cutoff man, shortstop Brandon Crawford, who guns the ball over the first baseman Brandon Belt to double off Headley (who was halfway to third base when Pagan made the catch).
What an unbelievable play by Pagan, perhaps even better than Gregor Blanco's unreal grab to preserve Matt Cain's perfect game last month.
