David Ortiz destroys dugout phone with bat

David Ortiz of the Red Sox did not have a great night in Baltimore on Saturday night. Our friends at The Score captured the above gif of Ortiz going insane after being ejected in the top of the seventh inning by home plate umpire Tim Timmons for arguing balls and strikes.

Ortiz is likely going to end up getting a nice fine and a call from the commissioner's office as a result, and I wouldn't be too surprised if Ben Cherrington had a discussion with him about not swinging a bat violently near Dustin Pedroia, who *just* got a nine figure contract from the BoSox.

Here's a video of the entire incident, which was spurred by Timmons calling a strike on Ortiz as he attempted to step out of the batters box while Jairo Asencio of the Orioles was in mid-windup, which led to his strikeout, ejection, and demolishing of the phone.
