Cleveland Browns safety Donte Whitner is at it again on the Twitterverse. On Thursday night, he found himself wrapped up in another social media beef—this time with Buffalo Bills’ former players and fans.

And maybe he’s still a bit upset that the organization let him walk and did not push hard to re-sign him in free agency just a few years back. Whitner spent five seasons in Buffalo, selected with the eighth overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft.

It all started roughly a week ago, when Whitner fired shots at Bills WR Sammy Watkins via Twitter. Watkins, as many NFL players do, had voiced his excitement about preparing for his inaugural NFL season at a youth football clinic. He said he was looking forward to playing against the Browns, who passed on him during the 2014 NFL Draft. “It’ll be a great matchup,” Watkins said, via the Akron Beacon Journal’s Nate Ulrich. No big deal, right?

Apparently it was locker room fodder, though, in Whitner’s eyes. And the Browns safety took it upon himself to personally respond:

Okay then. Watkins took the high road and did not respond, because that’s the type of person he is. But Whitner obviously still had a bone to pick.

So on Thursday, he started again. And this time, he was talking about the team’s potential relocation to Toronto—something Bills players and fans alike have no control over.

He then asked Browns fans to “tweet him his coverage rankings,” because apparently Google and/or Bing don’t work for him.

And then former Bills LB Darryl Talley stepped in. Talley, who was born in Cleveland, stood up for the franchise he used to play for.

From here on, things got a bit ugly. Talley’s wife, Janine, tweeted Whitner to see what his deal was. And Whitner responded by making things a bit personal—implying he had something with her and Darryl’s daughter, Alex.

Both Janine and Darryl quickly became upset and were obviously offended that he took it to that level. And they let him know about it, as any parent would. Whitner then challenged Darryl to a boxing match.

And that’s pretty much how it ended on Thursday night. But this beef is far from over.

When the two teams meet on Nov. 30 in Orchard Park, things might get a bit chippy.
