Cubs World Series tickets start at eye-popping price

Want to see the Chicago Cubs play in the World Series?

Get ready to cough up $2,000.

Oh, and get ready to stand the whole game.

ESPN’s Wayne Drehs broke some alarming news about hypothetical Cubs tickets:

Unreal.

By most logic, the 101-win Cubs should take the pennant in the National League and make an appearance in the Fall Classic.

Wrigley Field, of course, would be an epic host for the World Series, a historic locale playing host to what would easily become one of the biggest sporting events of the past decade or more.

This requires the Cubs getting there. Wildly enough, these ticket prices won’t do anything but climb the further the team marches through the postseason.
